![]() ![]() When I click to view its Properties, the disk illustration is completely blue as in 'full to capacity.' Why aren't the earlier files being deleted if the software requires more space for the new backups? The drive currently shows 104 MB free space out of 189 GB total space. In the folder named Retrospect Restore Points\Retrospect\RestorePoint\1-RestorePoint, there are 1,386 files, the earliest dating from January 2006. I now have backup files from eight months ago that should be long gone. From the Help files: "When the disk fills up, Retrospect Express HD automatically reclaims disk space by removing older restore points to make room for new ones." The software DOES NOT automatically delete old backups to make room for new ones. I got warned in the midst of the last two automatic backups that there was no room left on the disk (at the second warning, it did some sort of disk cleanup). ![]()
